This website was created to give support, help, guidance and inspiration to women in their forties who want to have a baby or have had a baby. If I had listened to the advice given to me by several consultants and healthcare professionals, I would have given up trying to have a baby at 37, when I was advised to. As you can see from the picture above and the scan below, my story has a very happy ending, so I am hoping this will inspire someone not to give up on a dream. I meet so many women who say they wish they had children in their later life, my own Mother regrets not having a baby to her second husband in her late thirties. In the 1950's my amazing Grandmother was embarrased that she had twins at the age of 40 and becoming a Mother in your forties still seems to be a taboo subject . One of my best friends Pam who is mid thirties (just become Mum to a little boy) watched a program about older mothers recently and it has scared her. I am a challenging woman and have become more confident over the years, so I refused to believe that I should give up but not all women are as challenging. Why don't these programs show the happy endings? I have an amazing friend who put together this interpritation of Our Story which is set to my voice singing, have a look and feel free to let me know what you think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkIcYZ9QDdY&list=LLZpWBsPYjYehV098Kv4QiXg&feature=mh_lolz I now own my own business as a Business Improvement Consultant as well as speak about Older new Mothers and give support to them.
